I think it is about time to talk about design and do I have a great knew product to show you. Introducing the Active Denial System which is one of the latest designs to come out of the DOD. I can image what the problem statement may have said…design a product that is able to efficiently and effectively disrupt a persons motive to stand in one place. Honestly, I think that this design was well thought out but I do believe that safety wasn’t necessarily a priority. Though safety is addressed some very good points were brought up that I think were conveniently not elaborated on. After all why should we suspect that heating the water molecules just under the skin and eyes wont cause lasting effects. And we all know that the DOD goes through great lengths to insure the safety of the public. I do suppose however that this is a better alternative than live ammunition. Does Kent State ring a bell?
