America, Founded on Christian Faith?

June 25, 2009 by David

I don’t know about you but I grow tired of hearing that America is the best country in the world. In addition, why are so many Christians convinced that America was founded on Christian principals?

What triggered me to write today was an article by Chuck Missler. I have much respect for him and for his work however, occasionally he will say something that does not sit well with me. Chuck is not the only person I respect who says things that are out-of-line with reality. Beth Moore, a person whom I have great respect for has said during one of her classes that America was/ is founded on Christian principals. She even gave the tittle of the book that convinced her of this non-fact. (I don’t recall the tittle).

Today I read an article by Chuck about global children’s rights and by all means, this is an important subject. However, there was one thing that Chuck said that was completely out-of-line with the truth. I quote, ” The United States has long appreciated the importance of defending children from violence and exploitation,” . If the United States has a long history of appreciation for the importance of defending children from violence and exploitation then my understanding of Americas history is greatly flawed. Our nation not only has a long history of exploiting children, our nation has a long history of exploiting everyone! Just to name a few, Native Americans, Africans, Hawaiians, women and of course our own children. What do all of these groups have in common? They were trusting, vulnerable, exploitable and unable to successfully protect themselves from rich white men. Here’s a link to a site that talks about the history of America’s child labor laws. http://www.continuetolearn.uiowa.edu/laborctr/child_labor/about/us_history.html

It was not long ago when whites (Europeans and Americans) considered Native Americans and Africans as non-human. In fact, I’m sure you can still find some people who still do. Let’s not fool ourselves about the realities of this world and particularly the United States. Our nation was, in fact, founded by Free Masons and many of them. George Washington was a 33rd degree Mason (this is the highest level one can achieve in the society and there are very few of them in caparison to the vast number of members). If you know something about the Mason’s, you probably think of them as respected community leaders, business owners and charitable givers. On the outside, Free Masons and the Scottish Rite seem to have other peoples best interest at heart. Well, let’s examine that.

What you do not know about the Free Masons is kept strictly secret. And, there are other societies that are closely associated to the Masons. For example, The Skull and Bones, which the Bush family is strongly associated with, and the Scottish Rite. What is most important to understand is that they carry out spiritual rituals that absolutely go against God and The Gospel. The majority of Masons do not realize or believe that these societies are, in fact, anti-Christ! Personally I know a strong Christian who believes the lies of the Masons, this is a very common reality. However, the truth is, the society is founded in paganism/Satanism. Fortunately, there are Christians out there who were Masons that are ready to talk about the deceitful nature of the society. Here are links that covers this subject. http://www.formermasons.org/; http://masonsforjesus.com/index.html

Being a “nice” person or giving to charities does not make one or imply that someone is a Christian! Even some people who claim to be Christian are, in fact, not! (Matthew 7: 21-23) Are you aware that Warren Buffet is a staunch Atheist but he’s a nice guy who will give billions to charities during and after his life. What about “Christian White Supremists”? Would Christ burn crosses in yards, torture and murder blacks, Jews or anyone else who wasn’t white or followed their ideology? As far as I know, Hitler was not a Christian, in fact, there is ample evidence that he studied and practiced “Black Magic” and followed the guidance of “fortune tellers”. However, many “Christians” appreciate what he did and want to follow in his foot steps. What’s more crazy is that some people deny that Hitler even murdered millions of Jews.

The United States is hands down the most materialistic and self-centered nation in the world! The majority seem to care more about sports, celebrities, video games and themselves than anything else. We are constantly bombarded with self-centered advertising and programing! We, as a nation, are obsessed with ourselves! We hate, we are greedy, we are envious, we are apathetic and we are delusional. Therefore, as a whole, we live our lives in the exact opposite way as Christ has prescribed. Our nation is also ranked 24th out of 62 for most murders (per ca pita) according to NationMaster.com.  I could go on and on but that is not necessary.

My point here is, let’s not eagerly pat ourselves on the backs or look at ourselves with rose tinted glasses. We all live in a fallen world and we are all sinners and there is no such thing as a Righteous nation. Israel may be “The Holy Land” but it is not Righteous. The United States is not Righteous either nor does it follow The Gospel and it never did! So let’s take our head out of the sand and look around. You might just find that our nation isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be.

Therefore, let’s face the truth, there will not be a Righteous place to live until Christ returns to restore what was once pure. And it helps me to remember that all true followers of Christ are actually refugies displaced from our true home because this world is temporal and one day we will live where there is perfect justice, love and peace!

A New Path

April 23, 2009 by David

Recently God has been working in my life in a new way.

As most of you know I have felt led to share hard truths to believers and non-believers alike for almost a year now. During this time I have witnessed how this information has touched people in various ways. Unfortunately, from the blog end of things, response has been mostly nil. This fact has always bothered me because I created this blog to not only inform but to generate dialog. How are we to sharpen each other without dialog? It’s generally not possible. But this is the nature of blogging, I suppose or maybe it’s just the nature of people.

I intend to continue this blog because sometimes I still feel led to share hard truths however, this feeling has subsided. I see that God is now leading me down a new path of information and I intend to focus on it from now on.

So, from time to time a new post will pop up here but it will be on an irregular schedule.

God bless.

Agape Love – According to Jake

April 7, 2009 by David

I’ve wanted to share this story for a while now…

Jake is a unique person and friend and I’ve never known anyone quite like him.  Several months back I wanted to get to know him better so I asked him if I could come over and visit. At the time, I was doing a little research on Agape Love and I wanted his thoughts on this important subject. What I received was more than I could have hoped for.

Agape Love according to Jake:

It is the only way to life and there ought to be a ravenous apatite for it. The heart ought to crave it and desire it’s nourishment, always. Love expands past beauty because it changes everything in ones life as it redefines the old to the new. Make every effort to know Love and know it well. The evolutionary relationship created between oneself and Agape Love will remove all burdens and bondage from life. Without a doubt, Love will replace fear, guilt, pride, anger, jealousy and insecurity with a freedom that surpasses comprehension.

I was simply blown away with Jake’s direct and concise response; the man knows what’s in his heart. I felt truly blessed to have had the opportunity to hear his thoughts and I thank God for people like him. People like him are a true blessing to the world and to whomever they come in contact with.

Jake is a very talented artist. He is a potter and he recognizes and deeply respects the significance of his God given gift. Jake selflessly offers so much of himself to everyone and I pray that God will always bless him.

A One-World Currency – Just a Matter of Time

April 2, 2009 by David

By Dr. Chuck Missler

CHINA PROPOSES A ONE-WORLD CURRENCY

The governor of China’s central bank has written a proposal for the creation of a global currency, one single monetary unit that could be used to buy and sell worldwide. While a single world currency might be far-fetched right now, China’s efforts to promote it at the G-20 summit might get the idea moved from the refrigerator to the back burner.

Governor Zhou Xiaochuan of China’s central bank has suggested that the world’s financial situation would be improved by moving toward a “super-sovereign reserve currency.”  While most countries find the proposal a bit radical, Russia, India, and Brazil have already spoken in support of the idea. Even US Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner said the US was “open” to the suggestion – though he acknowledged he not yet read Zhou’s paper.

The primary purpose of the proposal is to get away from using the US Dollar as the world’s reserve currency. Instead, China wants to implement a global currency, backed by 30 commodities after the model John Maynard Keynes proposed in the 1940s. Russia wants a currency backed by the Gold Standard, but using 30 commodities as an anchor would give the new currency a broader base than the Gold Standard.

Zhou writes:

“The desirable goal of reforming the international monetary system, therefore, is to create an international reserve currency that is disconnected from individual nations and is able to remain stable in the long run, thus removing the inherent deficiencies caused by using credit-based national currencies.”

Zhou recognizes that this reserve currency would take a long time to be accepted and implemented world-wide, so he suggests using Special Drawing Rights (SDRs) issued by the International Monetary Fund as a good start. He envisions the IMF as the global bank in charge of the currency.

Ultimately, the “super-sovereign reserve currency” under the IMF would mean the end to national economic sovereignty. Zhou writes;

“With its universal membership, its unique mandate of maintaining monetary and financial stability, and as an international ‘supervisor’ on the macroeconomic policies of its member countries, the IMF, equipped with its expertise, is endowed with a natural advantage to act as the manager of its member countriesreserves.”

A super-sovereign reserve currency is indeed a long ways away, and promises to be a major headache for member countries. The European Central Bank struggles to handle policy for its 16 member nations.  A central bank managing the economies of the entire world would prove a bureaucratic nightmare.  Plus, it would be difficult, if not impossible, to find truly neutral parties to run the exceedingly powerful IMF at that point.

Yet, the creation of regional currencies has become increasingly popular. The European Union is not alone.  Five of the six Islamic states constituting the Gulf Cooperation Council have agreed to shoot for a unified currency by 2010.  In early March, African economists and academics met in Nairobi to push toward a single African currency.  It may not be long before a global currency seems possible and even desirable to a significantly larger portion of the globe.

Revelation 13 speaks of a time when all the economies of the world are tied together so that the Coming World Leader is able to require every human on earth to receive a mark in order to buy or sell.   These are interesting times in which we live.

Quantum Physics and Spiritual Reality

March 20, 2009 by David

Physics is one of my favorite topics and after studying it on my own and in college, I have found that science, in general, is an excellent tool for discovering and understanding the mysteries of God’s creation/design.

Here is a short article by Missler about quantum mechanics as it relates to the spiritual world. I hope that it creates a spark in some of you.

PHYSICIST WINS $1.4 MILLION AWARD FOR PROMOTING SPIRITUAL REALITY – A French physicist whose life’s work points to evidence of a spiritual dimension has won this year’s Templeton Prize and its £1 million ($1.4 million) award. On Monday, the Templeton Foundation announced that French physicist and philosopher Bernard d’Espagnat had won the world’s largest monetary prize for his scientific contributions to progress in religion. D’Espagnat is famous for his concept of a “veiled reality” – one that lies behind the world that we can touch and see. In his work on quantum mechanics, d’Espagnat did experiments that demonstrated that the essence of reality is far more than can be explained by the mere three dimensions we can directly experience. Subatomic particles behave in strange ways that can only be accounted for by additional dimensions beyond our direct touch. For example, when the French physicist Alain Aspect and his team in France and Switzerland experimented on photons in the early 1980s, they found that a change in the polarization of one photon could be detected almost instantaneously (faster than light speed) in another photon miles away. Discoveries like this were not new; Niels Bohr had argued that subatomic particles were interconnected back in the early part of the 20th century, even while Einstein insisted that nothing could travel faster than the speed of light. This insta-communication between particles has created a series of disturbing questions: How could two distantly separated photons communicate instantly? What connected them? Are the laws of physics absolute? What is the ultimate nature of reality? Through his experiments testing the “Bell’s inequalities” theorem during the 1960s-1980s, d’Espagnat sought to acquire greater understanding of the very strange properties of subatomic particles. He learned that the physical world seemed to be merely an appearance veiling a much greater reality. Science, he argues, can only go so far in helping us explain the nature of the universe. “Quantum mechanics introduced another point of view, which consists essentially that the aim of science is not to describe ultimate reality as it really is,” d’Espagnat told The Christian Science Monitor. “Rather, it is to make account of reality as it appears to us, accounting for the limitations of our own mind and our own sensibilities.” We are intuitively aware of this something more, d’Espagnat argues. He believes that art and music and spirituality are all ways we connect to the “veiled reality.” Nidhal Guessoum, chair of physics at American University of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates, wrote that d’Espagnat “has constructed a coherent body of work which shows why it is credible that the human mind is capable of perceiving deeper realities.” Metaphysical naturalists in the scientific community might reject the idea of the spiritual, but in the field of quantum physics, the spiritual can almost, just almost, be seen through the light of colliding atoms. The Templeton Prize is awarded each year to a person whom the judges believe “has made an exceptional contribution to affirming life’s spiritual dimension, whether through insight, discovery, or practical works.” Past winners of the Templeton Prize have included scientists like cosmologist John D. Barrow and physicist Paul Davies, as well as spiritual leaders like Mother Theresa and Billy Graham. The winners do not necessarily hold any specific theological views, but simply affirm that there is more to reality than meets the eye. D’Espagnat will receive his prize at London’s Buckingham Palace on May 5.
